Can I listen to WCRH on my computer?
At this time we are not streaming. We are making every effort to have our station on-line around the first of the year (2008). We are examining the music licensing issues and what our responsibilities are in reporting the music we play. This is a very detailed and regulated endeavor.
I used to hear WCRH on a translator in Winchester, VA. I no longer can get that signal, what happened?
For 18 years Calvary Church of the Brethren in Winchester faithfully hosted our antenna and translator site. Due to a land sale we had to remove our antenna from that site. Rather than invest in a new site we will allocate these funds to our on-line project. We believe this will serve not only the people of Winchester who have computer access, but will serve the entire world. This helps WCRH complete the great commission in our local town, area, and around the world!
I submitted an event to the Community Calendar but have not heard it broadcast. What is your policy?
We want to make every effort to let the community know of your event. However, we can only do so much no matter how hard we try. With over two thousand churches in our signal area it is impossible for us to announce every event we receive. There are a few guidelines we ask you to remember: Submission Deadlines: We must receive your PSA no less than two weeks prior to your event in order for them to be read on air. You may submit them online or by mail or by fax, but please allow enough time for us to receive it two weeks or more prior to your event. Submission Guidelines:
Due to our non-profit status, we are only able to air PSA’s from other non-profit (501c3) organizations. When submitting a PSA by mail or fax, please include the following information: The 5 W’s (who, what, when, where & why), the name of the sponsoring organization, and a contact person and phone number with area code. We were notified by Focus on the Family that they were discontinuing the program. From the beginning of Sharing Life we have produced all the music and will continue to broadcast the music you enjoy in the evening plus we’ll keep you updated with hourly news. In addition, we are adding some new ministry thoughts from Beth Moore (A Quick Word), Mark Early (The Point), and additional releases from Ken Davis, Dennis Rainey, Gary Chapman, Nancy Leigh DeMoss, and more.
