Our Mission...
to glorify God, nurture God’s people and reach out to the general public through electronic communications. We are committed to presenting a wholesome, positive and Christ-exalting broadcast ministry. This is realized by providing programs of a spiritual, educational and informational nature.
WCRH went on the air on July 24, 1976 and has remained a consistent, steady source of inspiration to the four-state area. Through quality Christian programming and uplifting music, WCRH strives to strengthen listeners' Christian walk and to provide encouragement to people of all ages. This listener-supported, non-commercial station broadcasts 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
A recent audience measurement showed WCRH to be very near the top in the local listening area with over 30,000 different listeners each week, serving western Maryland, south-central Pennsylvania, West Virginia's Eastern Panhandle and the northern Shenandoah Valley of Virginia.
Our format is very much family friendly with praise and worship music and Biblical based teaching. We believe a commercial free sound allows us to have a greater ministry to our listeners.
Finances We rely on our listeners to meet our financial needs through their generous gifts. As a listener supported station, you will not hear commercial advertisements on WCRH. We do not sell advertising space on our station, however, we do recognize some area businesses who underwrite our Accuweather service.
Each year in October, we set aside three days for our Sharathon. We use those three days to present our financial needs to our listeners and to raise the funds needed for operating costs for the coming year. God has blessed our station with loyal, faithful listeners who cheerfully support our station, and we are very grateful for each person who heeds His voice and gives.
Contributions made to WCRH Radio are fully tax-deductible and our parent organization, Cedar Ridge Children’s Home & School, Inc. is an approved 501(c)3 organization. Your contributions are promptly acknowledged with a receipt.
Todays costs are underwritten in honor of the birthday of Ethan Tenario who turns one year old today. Ethans grandparents are praying that he will accept Jesus and be a joy to his terrific parents, Andres and Carrie. May they take to heart the admonition of Proverbs 3:5&6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
